Gas Safety in Healthcare Environments
Our range of standard medical workshops give participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the handling, storage, use and transportation of medical gases. The workshops develop risk awareness through the identification of hazards found in everyday situations and participants will learn about the gas safety issues relative to their specific departments together with the steps required to maintain safe working conditions.
An understanding of hazards and the ability to assess risks within healthcare environments is vital in today’s Health and Safety conscious workplace - these workshops help to develop these critical skills.
Medical Gases Safety Awareness (click for more info)
This 3½ hour workshop gives participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the handling, storage, use and transportation of gases within a healthcare environment. It is designed for staff who need a more in-depth knowledge of medical gases and are responsible for gas cylinder equipment and manifold systems. Typically this will be Estates, Porters, Facilities and Engineering personnel but it is also appropriate for Managers who have a responsibility for Health & Safety.

Medical Gases for Clinical Staff and Support Services (click for more info)
This 2 hour workshop is an abridged version of the full 3½ hour workshop shown above. It is designed for staff who are involved in the use, handling, storage and administration of medical gases who do not have responsibilities relating to manifold systems. Typically, this may be Clinical and Nursing staff, Porters and Facilities staff, Ambulance staff and midwifery personnel. The workshop gives participants a firm understanding of the key safety issues associated with the medical gases.
